Pastor Michael has been literally raised in the church. His formative years were literally spent learning every imaginable bible story in Sunday school, Baptist Training Union, Vacation Bible School youth and teen bible study, and anything else they could come up with. He accepted his call into the ministry in June of 1996, celebrating 20 years in the ministry in 2016.
He has worked in various positions and ministries while serving for the LORD in church. For the past few years, he has been pastor of worship, leading all choirs and praise teams at Southern Crest. He loves worshiping His LORD and Savior and has a passion to lead others to LOVE Jesus and KNOW Jesus in a real and personal way.
Pastor Michael received a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University. He received a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University as well. His career spans nearly 30 years with AT&T and Dallas Area Rapid Transit all in managerial and leadership positions.
Pastor Michael describes his preaching and teaching style as one of simplicity, practicality, and relevancy. He wants everyone that he encounters to know that our LORD and Savior accepts us, loves us, and “likes” us; and that our heavenly Father was to know us and fellowship with us.

What I like Most about being a Christian:
That no matter what I face in life, God is my source and my strength. The more that I know about Him, the stronger I grow in Him.
